Todd Zielinski
Senior Director of Electrical Engineering

Todd got into engineering for the thrill of taking ideas, refining them, and making them real.

In his own career he’s done so many times over. He came to Bresslergroup with more than twenty years of experience, ranging from developing small products including commercial and consumer cameras and instrumentation to larger systems-development projects in industrial, spacecraft, and aerospace applications. He has consulted or held leadership positions at Halliburton, Agilence, Lockheed, and CA Technology. At Bresslergroup he’s responsible for electronics, firmware, software, and embedded systems design and development.

Todd earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, later receiving a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same institution. He led Drexel’s Solar Car Racing Team for three years, competing in racing events worldwide. Outside of work you can find him teaching whitewater kayaking with the Philadelphia Canoe Club and — when he has time — performing Gilbert & Sullivan with the Savoy Company.

What's your favorite product, and why? The iPhone — it was the first real electronics convergence device. What would you be doing if you weren't an engineer? I'd teach whitewater kayaking full-time. Finish this sentence: Design is ... ... about the whole system.
