Effective project management is critical throughout the new product development process. Our policy dictates that only senior staff members, who have worked effectively though our new product development process, are given project management responsibilities. Taming what can be a non-linear process takes skill and the right tools. We train our project managers as they grow from product development team members. We've also created a range of tracking and communication tools to ensure effective development process management. Tasks include:

• Product specifications: development and updates

• Meetings and conference calls management: agendas and minutes

• Change management

• Weekly planning and resource allocation

• Monthly budget monitoring and reporting

• Daily time monitoring

• Client dedicated FTP site with firewall

• Use of Microsoft project
