Matt Thomas on Design Thinking

Interaction Designer and Developer Matt Thomas shared his views on design thinking as part of an October 23rd panel, “Straight Talk: Design Thinking 101: Focus on the User, Empathy, and Prototyping to Innovate Your Business.”

Natalie Nixon, Director of the Strategic Design MBA Program at Philadelphia University, put together the panel to address how design thinking helps entrepreneurs “open avenues of opportunity and identify solutions that you may not have thought of otherwise.” Nixon moderated the panel composed of Matt, Harold Hambrose of Electronic Ink, Phil Charron of Think Brownstone, and Heather Hollis of Comcast NBCU. The event was sponsored by the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs.

Nixon wrote about some of the ideas discussed during the panel for an article on Inc.com, “Why You Should Stop Being So User-Centered.”
