Along with our client, BK Ultrasound, part of Analogic Corporation, we’re pleased to announce that Sonic Window took home a Gold 2016 Medical Device Excellence Award (MDEA) in the Radiological and Electromechanical Devices category.
Bresslergroup helped BK Ultrasound figure out how to integrate advanced ultrasound technology into a self-contained, ultra-compact, handheld ultrasound device that’s designed to improve patient outcomes by enabling clinicians to quickly and easily achieve vascular access at “first stick.” Read more about our work on the design and development of Sonic Window.
MDEA is a worldwide competition that recognizes products that are commercially available and approved as a medical device either by the U.S. FDA or other relevant notified body. The 2016 MDEA competition included ten different product categories that represented instruments, machines, implants, in vitro reagents, mobile medical applications, and other related products.
Two products submitted by Bresslergroup — the Sonic Window and Trice Medical’s mi-eye+ — were named MDEA Finalists in May. The winners of the 2016 Competition were announced last night during an awards ceremony at medical manufacturing trade show and conference, MD&M East 2016.
