As part of The Pulse’s show on the “Rebirth of the Library,” Newsworks reporter Todd Bookman interviewed JD Albert, Bresslergroup’s Director of Engineering, about inventing the e-reader. JD and his co-inventor will be two of the youngest members of the National Inventors’ Hall of Fame when they’re inducted in May.
Albert told Bookman about developing this breakthrough technology. “When you are working on new technology, it helps to have something bold that you are going for,” he said. Their vision was to kill paper, not books. “Our hope was that this would cause people to read more.”
