The average home has many small leaks which can add up to a 2ft hole in the wall. The leaks can account for as much as 1/3 of home energy loss. Black & Decker’s Thermal Leak Detector is a novel tool using a color coded light to help homeowners detect areas around the house to be sealed or insulated. We handled industrial design working as part of the Black & Decker development team. The detector is an effective, simple to use device, enabling DIYers to affordably identify energy saving opportunities.
