The XR-12 X-ray Digitizer turned the X-ray scanner paradigm on its head - literally. Before the XR-12, scanners worked much like old photo copiers - moving the paper / film over the scanners. Bresslergroup determined that feeding the films from the top not only simplified the mechanicals but also cut the device footprint by 50 percent. This innovation reduced COGS by 30 percent and helped Vidar capture significant market share with their first medical market introduction.
