The final documentation package for both the ice cream scoop and the cheese knife was mostly digital with 2D quality control drawings added to ensure adherence to tolerance and overall quality specs. When first parts came back for inspection it was clear that the level of documentation was just right. The parts, as most first articles do, spurred some minor modification to tooling, but Cutco was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the outsourced parts.
