Implementation

Our prototype and test process resulted in a list of changes across the board including interface, electronics, mechanical and packaging design. The team worked in unison to tackle the changes and worked closely with the Chinese production partner to make the design ready for production. Even across continents and through language barriers, the team was able to work effectively toward the release of complete CAD and Gerber files so tooling and component sourcing could begin in earnest. We used a combination of communications methods including teleconferencing, email and IM. Both sides of the global team were flexible in terms of meeting time and collaborated to move the process along smoothly.
