Bresslergroup user and human factors research pointed the way to effective user interface development as well as installation and maintenance protocols. Basic human factors data helped drive form development including hand anthropometrics which defined the size and shape of the external form. And unlike traditional smoke alarms, the VSD required high quality record and playback features. So we enrolled a highly regarded acoustics expert to help us specify a speaker and internal speaker chamber that would deliver quality voice recordings at very high decibel levels.
