Information Architecture

The foundation of a user interface (user interface) is its underlying structure, workflow and navigation – the information architecture. Much like a three-dimensional product must be defined and constrained by the configuration of its components; an effective user interface needs to be organized around a logical, consistent and intuitive set of tasks.

Information architecture is initially driven by the functional requirements of the software system. We then map workflows to these functions to create a logical sequence of steps that will best support users’ tasks and needs.

Schematic interface screen layouts, or wireframes, are created as preliminary guides to layout and screen structure and serve as the basis for the subsequent graphical screen designs.
