User Interface Development

The outputs of the UI design process are a set of designs and documentation to guide the development of the user interface. Bresslergroup works with our clients to collaboratively define the most useful form of specification and documentation for developing graphical user interfaces. For example, some clients have skilled UI development teams and new visual and interaction specifications to describe what needs to be created in the software development process. Other clients rely on Bresslergroup’s in-house and partner capabilities to develop the user interface specification and then prototype or fully develop the software through implementation. In either situation, defining a graphical user interface and developing and documenting UI typically includes:

  1. Graphic design files for all visual elements (e.g. icons, logos, buttons)
  2. Visual specification to document UI layout and definition of typography, colors, functions and screen elements
  3. Touch point display and target sizes for touch screen interfaces
  4. Documenting UI workflow diagrams to illustrate relationships among screens for use cases and scenarios
  5. Supporting prototypes to demonstrate interactive features and animation

These types of design solutions are covered in the user interface documentation, and they provide a framework for developing the current product, and for driving the direction of subsequent products via defined design and interface language – effectively documenting UI. In addition to providing documenting the UI, Bresslergroup can develop the software code as well as any associated electrical engineering for an integrated product user interface.
