Conall delights in finding unexpected ways to improve people’s day-to-day lives.
Research is the means to this end — his favorite part of the process is the satisfying sense of discovery when user research yields new, meaningful, and actionable insights. At Bresslergroup, he directs the user research team to unearth nuggets that lead to a deeper, clearer understanding of peoples’ needs.
He first realized the potential of design to drive innovation when he went off-script with a K’nex set at age ten and, after much trial and error, constructed a repeating rubber-band launcher. He remembers being fascinated by the possibility of bringing something imagined to life.
Since then Conall has made a career out of innovation strategy — as a consultant at Deloitte; as Creative Catalyst for Embrace, a medical startup in a developing market; and heading up UX and product strategy for Unilife, where he gained strong experience working to FDA compliance requirements. He leans on this expertise in client service, user research, prototyping, product design, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering to empathize and collaborate with all essential stakeholders to bring great products to market.
Conall earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Product Development from Carnegie Mellon. Outside of work you’ll find him cooking bacon, eating bacon, wandering the globe, and trying new things.
