Work With Us
Matt Black
Senior Director of Project Management

Matt has always been a creative thinker and a natural problem solver.

As a kid, he would take things apart just to see how they worked. Building blocks, LEGO bricks, and Erector Sets were some of his favorite toys because he could build almost anything he could imagine. This creative play led him to pursue a career in film/video production, but later the problem-solving aspects of project, program, and production management won over.

Matt has nearly twenty years of experience working as a project or program manager at companies ranging in size from 5 to 40,000 people. At Bresslergroup, he is responsible for production workflow, allocation of resources, process documentation and improvement, and professional development of project and program managers.

He’s excited to be here because of the people. “I am surrounded by amazing people – they range from creative designers to hardcore engineering problem-solvers,” he says. “The electricity isn’t just in the products we develop – it’s in the air, generated by incredible people as they work.”

Matt is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelors in Film/Video Production. He is also a Certified ScrumMaster/facilitator for agile project development. Outside of work he’s an aficionado of tequila and science fiction. He also enjoys playing board games – particularly the ones that require players to collaborate. Either you all win, or you all lose because of how you work together.

What's your favorite all-time product? LEGO. Your only limit is your imagination. Any hidden talents? I used to compete in beard and moustache competitions — and even won a few awards along the way. Finish this sentence: Design is... ... where need meets want.
