Zach believes that good designs are as simple as possible, but no simpler.
He excels at giving fuzzy concepts harder edges and turning ideas into tangible products. Zach enjoys leveraging constraints and believes that surprising solutions can result from restrictions.
Zach admits to loving standards, pointing out that they are far more democratic than most people realize. Full of surprises, he also has a patent for an unusual surgical wrench that was inspired by a coworker’s passing “wouldn’t it be funny if…” comment.
At Bresslergroup, Zach is responsible for the mechanical aspects of a wide range of product development phases — from conceptualization to production. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, and his prior work experiences include a manufacturing stint at a pipe-fitting foundry and designing orthopedic implants. He believes that thoughtful designs and clever solutions are inspired by diverse experiences.
When he isn’t at work, Zach can be found riding his road bike along the Schuylkill River Trail or perfecting his woodworking projects, like the hardwood coffee table he designed and fabricated.
