For DesignPhiladelphia 2019, Bresslergroup’s Director of Design & Innovation Strategy, Ryan Chen, and Design & Innovation Strategist, Anat Mooreville, PhD, will present “The Year Is 2030: A ‘Vision of the Future’ Workshop.”
The envisioning workshop on October 10, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, will familiarize participants with consumer megatrends and with the strategic foresight tools used by design strategists to extrapolate possible futures. Participants will first learn about the driving forces of change. Then they’ll use workshop tools to generate a vision of Philadelphia in the year 2030.
They’ll have the opportunity to choose a Philadelphia-specific challenge to explore from the realms of food, health, human connection, and social impact. Collaborating in small groups, participants will ideate possible products or services that might be used to serve future user needs.
The future is not static — there are many plausible futures that are constantly in flux, and we can help create the one we most prefer.
Join us for a couple of thoughtful and playful hours to challenge your current assumptions and engage your imagination about what the future might look like. The event is free, but registration is capped at 50 due to the workshop format.
