Partners Michael Flanagan, Mathieu Turpault, and Andrew Weiman have announced Bresslergroup’s move to 1216 Arch Street in summer 2015. The company has purchased the 7th floor of the Young Smyth Field Building. When renovation is finished, the 12,500-square-foot space will accommodate our growing workforce of more than 40 professionals as well as our cutting-edge lab and prototyping studio.
Completed in 1902, 1216-1220 Arch Street, or the Young Smyth Field Building, is a turn-of-the-century manufacturing building that was ahead of its time in its heralding of Classical Revival as the favored style for Philadelphia’s commercial buildings; in its use of new construction techniques; and in its early adoption of a loft-style layout for light manufacturing. Its pioneering history aligns with Bresslergroup’s focus on innovation.
We’re delighted by the opportunity to move into this historic building in the vibrant Loft District and to realize our vision for a new office space, lab, and studio designed in partnership with local architectural firm, Stanev Potts.
