Along with our clients, BD and PetSafe, Bresslergroup is pleased to announce our work has been recognized with two Bronzes from appliance DESIGN’s 2017 Excellence in Design Awards.
The winning projects include:
PetSafe SMART DOG Bluetooth Training Collar (EID Bronze in Small Appliances): PetSafe has been making training collars for a long time, but this is their first smart, Bluetooth-enabled training collar. Previous-generation training collars require the use of a remote control, but SMART DOG uses a smartphone app to reduce overall product cost and add convenience for users.
BD Phoenix M50 ID/AST System (EID Bronze in Medical Equipment and Devices): The BD Phoenix M50 ID/AST system, as part of BD Microbiology solutions, is intended for the rapid identification (ID) and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) of clinically significant bacteria. This benchtop version is half the size of the previous generation BD Phoenix and stackable to provide much-needed modularity and fulfill a lower cost requirement.
appliance DESIGN’s annual EID awards are selected by an independent panel of design experts “on the basis of creativity, ease of use and visual appeal.” Other considerations are optimized capabilities, environmental footprint, and energy- and cost-savings. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are given across seven product categories, and winners are published in the June issue of appliance DESIGN magazine.
In addition to the EID awards, three Bresslergroup projects were named Finalists in IDSA’s 2017 International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) competition: Trice Medical mi-eye+, Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller Gen 2, and the Hippoie Creek River Cart for Wonder Connection.
