Senior Mechanical Engineer and Sustainable Design Specialist, Seth GaleWyrick, shared his expertise about the emerging field of biomimicry in a talk at WeWork Custom House (220 NW 8th Ave., PDX) on September 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In “How Does Biomimicry Drive Innovation?,” Seth introduced the audience to the methodology of biomimicry. He shared a wide range of successful implementations and provided actionable ideas and inspiration for how the tools can help product development professionals adapt solutions vetted during 3.8 billion years of natural R&D.
In addition to his 14 years of consulting experience, Seth is a student in the first ever Masters in Biomimicry program at Arizona State. He was also hand-selected for a prestigious two-year professional fellowship taught by the founders of the field. One of his favorite activities is sharing his passion for biomimicry with audiences around the country.
